One of our favourite colouring books for mindfulness is Enchanted Forest by illustrator Johanna Basford. Enchanted Forest is not only a colouring book, but also an inky treasure hunt. Hidden within are all kinds of creatures and curiosities to be sought.
Mindfulness is “the intentional, accepting and non-judgemental focus of one’s attention on the emotions, thoughts and sensations occurring in the present moment”, which can be trained by meditational practices derived from Buddhist anapanasati. It’s the latest trend to help relieve stress, and one of the best ways of doing it (believe it or not) is colouring!
